Privacy notice

We never ask about immigration or residence status, and we never sell personal information.

Who is responsible

TAS China (Together and Stronger China) is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. You can reach us at the international office, 5150 E Pacific Coast Hwy, 2nd Floor, Long Beach, CA 90804, USA, or by e-mail at members@taschina.org.

What we collect

Only what you type into our forms: your name, your e-mail address, where you live, and, if you choose to give them, your hometown or heritage, the number of adults in your household, the name of your association, and your message.

Our hosting provider keeps technical logs of visits, such as the time of a request and the address it came from, for the security of the site.

What we never collect

Immigration or residence status. Identity-document numbers. Information about your health, your religion or your political opinions. Payment details.

Please do not put any of these into the message box.

Why we use it

To answer you. To record members and associations and to issue the member card. To write to you about your membership. To send you news of member benefits in your region, only if you ticked that box.

Who handles it for us

The provider that hosts this website and the provider that carries our e-mail handle your information on our instructions. We use no advertising networks. We do not sell personal information or share it for marketing. We never have, and we never shall.

Where it is kept

Your information is stored outside mainland China. Where it moves between countries, it is protected by the safeguards that the law of each country requires for such transfers.

How long we keep it

For as long as you are a member, or until you ask us to delete it.

Your rights

You may ask to see the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. You may withdraw your consent at any time, and you may complain to the data-protection authority of the place where you live.

These are rights you hold under the law of the place where you live: for example the General Data Protection Regulation in the European Union and the United Kingdom, the California Consumer Privacy Act, Canada’s PIPEDA, Australia’s Privacy Act and Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act.

To use any of these rights, write to members@taschina.org from the address you joined with.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The voice assistant loads only when you press its button, and then its provider processes the call.

Children

Membership is for adults. Children under 18 are included on a parent’s membership, and we do not ask for information about them beyond what a parent chooses to tell us.
